Quick answers
Some of the most common questions, if you don't want to read a whole page:
- Do I need an account to use this? No - you can get a full estimate as a guest. An account just saves your estimates and unlocks a few extra features. See Registration.
- What if I lose my estimate halfway through? Every estimate gets an edit code once you register - use it to come back to it any time from the start page. If you close the tab before that point, the tool remembers your progress in that browser and offers to restore it next time you visit.
- Why does the tool ask for so many room details? Every extra detail - a window's sill height, a bath tub's footprint, which way the tiles are laid - changes how much material you actually need. See Adding rooms for why each one matters.
- What's "wastage," and why is it different for every room? See the Glossary or the wastage section on Materials.
