4. Registration
A short step to save your estimate - as a guest, or with a full account.
Why this step exists
Your room and material choices only become a saved, revisitable estimate once you register them here. Before this point, everything lives only in your current browser session - if you closed the tab, it could be lost. Registering is what actually saves the estimate and gives you an edit code to come back to it.
Guest vs. a full account
As a guest, you enter a name, a way to reach you (mobile or email), and a location, verify it with a one-time code, and you're through to your results - full material breakdown included.
A full account additionally gives you: an ongoing history of every estimate you've created, a business profile (name, logo, GST number, terms) that appears on your quotes automatically, and a pricing section on the results page where you can attach your own product names and prices to the material list and turn it into an actual quote.
What the verification code is actually checking
The one-time code confirms that the mobile number or email you entered genuinely belongs to you (or is genuinely reachable by you) - it's the same kind of check most services use, and it's what makes the edit code you get afterward meaningful: it's tied to a real, verified way of reaching the person who created the estimate.
If you're logged into a full account already, this step is skipped entirely - your details are already known, so there's no code to verify and nothing extra to fill in. The estimate is saved straight to your account.
Finding your estimates again (full accounts)
Every estimate you register while logged into a full account shows up on your "My Estimates" page - each one listed with its edit code and an "Open" button. This is generally the easier way back into an old estimate than typing an edit code in by hand on the start page, since you don't need to have saved the code anywhere yourself; the account already has it. A guest estimate is only ever found by its edit code - it isn't tied to any account, so it won't appear on this list even if you're logged in when you look it up.
